Cultivation

Cultivation

It all started with this little perennial plant called Physalis Perouviana (Physalis, Golden Berry, Inca Berry).
Physalis is a real treasure, for which studies have shown that it is rich in bioflavonoids and pectin, has anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antioxidant action.
Then we go to the stage of its cultivation, where it takes place in a modern type of greenhouse where its progress in all phases of development is controlled.

The Harvest Time

It takes about five months to grow a seed in a mature
Physalis plant that can to be collected for the first time.
The plant has a life cycle of 2 to 3 years and produces
fruit for half a year.
Physalis is harvested weekly and only when the fruit is
fully ripe.
The outer shell (calyx) protects the wrist and contributes
to a longer lifespan. Every fruit checked for quality
before being packaged.
The fruit of our Physalis is collected with special love
and care from our own plants (which are regularly
monitored by a biological company certifications),
then pack immediately so that to maintain its beneficial
properties unchanged.
We distribute our products in over 20 places
for sale in Greece through Thessalonikis Central Market.
